Vanessa Hagen, LPC
I've been helping others to restore relationships, improve self-satisfaction, and lead happier, more fulfilling lives for over 15 years.
I received both my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. After graduating, I moved to PA and began providing outpatient counseling to children and families before becoming involved with the community residential rehabilitation program at Concern, where I worked with children and adolescents with severe behavioral issues. In 2012, I joined a group practice where I counseled children, adolescents, and adults and specialized in couples and family counseling. In 2018, I opened Furnace Creek Counseling with partners Amy Alvarez and Don Swartz.
I can help you with behavioral problems, school struggles, parenting issues, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, and stress management. I am sensitive to LGBTQIA+ issues and have experience working with individuals and couples. I have ample experience working with transgender individuals and their families.
I enjoy working with couples who are struggling to get their relationship back on track, whether that is due to conflict, communication breakdown, or intimacy issues. I work with those coping with infertility and postpartum challenges, including adjusting to life with a new child. I can help you navigate stresses that emerge from divorce, including adjusting to new family dynamics, blended family issues, child behavioral problems, and co-parenting difficulties. I also specialize in reunification and co-parenting counseling.
Whatever you are facing in your life, I'm here to help you find your path to happiness!
