Don Swartz, LPC
For the past 25 years I have been helping children and families through difficult times and incredible circumstances.
After graduating with a degree in social work from Millersville University in 1990, I worked with Children and Youth Services as a caseworker. During my tenure there, I decided I needed to do more preventative work with children and their families. I earned my Masters in Counseling Education from Millersville and was subsequently hired as an elementary school counselor.
I am fulfilled through my current work as a Middle School Counselor in a public school as well as through seeing clients in private practice. I am a certified National Trainer in the BullyProofing Your Schools Program and have trained teachers in schools in PA, CO, OK, and NY.
I have a great deal of experience in assisting adolescents with issues that radiate from budding relationships, decision making challenges, and impulsive behavior. I also enjoy helping older adolescent and adult males who struggle with relationships and need help working on defining boundaries and understanding themselves in a relationship context. Besides working with individuals, I have experience working with couples who are struggling with communication issues and conflict in their relationships. I can assist you in your struggles with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and anger management.
I believe that all people have the potential within themselves to find the answers to their issues. Sometimes we just need help in our search. It is my honor to share and assist others in their life journeys.
