Blair Fisher, M.Ed.
I have had the opportunity to work with families and children/adolescents for the past 10 years in a variety of settings. After graduating from Lancaster Bible College in 2015, I worked at Philhaven supporting children and adolescents in inpatient care. Following this, I worked as a Behavior Consultant for Philhaven’s Center for Autism and Development Disabilities. Currently, I work as a Middle School Counselor in a public school and a Master's level clinician at Furnace Creek Counseling, where I am completing my licensure to become an LPC. My variety of experience allows me to meet the needs of many different ages and backgrounds.
In each of these roles, I have experienced the importance of collaborating with families, educators, and community stakeholders. The importance of a holistic approach to youth development and fostering partnerships helps to create a seamless network of support for the young individuals I serve. I have great experience working with children and adolescents in different stages of their lives. Whether it's addressing academic pressures, peer relationships, or emotional struggles, I tailor my interventions to foster growth and resilience in young minds. Through a combination of therapeutic strategies and constructive guidance, I aim to instill confidence and equip them with the tools needed to navigate the complexities of their formative years.
In therapy, my goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space where people can explore their concerns. I approach counseling with an inclusive and open-minded perspective, where I am open to integrating Christian principles if they align with your beliefs. However, I am equally respectful and considerate of individuals from diverse backgrounds and belief systems, ensuring that my counseling is tailored to meet the unique needs of each person I work with. I have found integrating both evidence-based therapeutic techniques with biblical teachings can help clients find strength, resilience, and hope in the face of life's challenges.
I believe that all people encounter times in life where they need others, a community or an ally. Sometimes the circumstances and experiences we encounter in life can leave you struggling to find any hope or quality of life. Together we can work to find connections from your history, to identify where you are currently and use that knowledge to find where you desire to be in the future. It would be my honor to be able to support my fellow traveler in their journey to a thriving and healthy life.
